The Department of Pediatric at Krishna Hospital in Nadiad, Gujarat. The Pediatric ICU is a temperature-regulated unit with 15 beds and has state-of-the-art facilities for monitoring and evaluation. All modes of treatment, including mechanical ventilation are available at the unit which sees about 75-95 admissions per month. The paediatric gastroenterology unit, is a referral centre for liver diseases in children. It is known for treating jaundice, glycogen storage disease and metabolic liver diseases. It has facilities to conduct diagnostic and therapeutic video-aided upper and lower gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy in children.
The department also does enteral and parenteral (intravenous) nutrition therapy for children with chronic diarrhoea.
